About UsThe Quapaw Farmers Market's 2021 season begins on May 21st and runs until October 16th. Rain or shine, the market will be open from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at our indoor location. This market is open to all community members, regardless of tribal status. We accept cash, credit/debit, SNAP EBT, and senior benefits.
New to the 2021 season, the Quapaw Nation is expanding to offer a farmers hub with grant funds provided by the First Nations Development Institute! A farmers hub is, “a designated area where farm food and value-added products from approved sources are sold on consignment for farm food producers." This exciting opportunity will allow us to better meet the needs of community members by allowing a greater variety of farm products and have more convenient hours. The Quapaw Farmers Hub will be open Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. The farmers market also offers a food preservation equipment rental program, seed library, and free educational resources. Like us on Facebook to follow market updates! |

BENEFITS OF SHOPPING AT YOUR LOCAL FARMERS MARKET
SAVES RESOURCESBuying from your local farmers allows you to support local agriculture. This means that the food you are eating comes from nearby, and does not waste lots of energy resources to ship the food around the world.
|
SUPPORTS LOCAL ECONOMYNot only does your money stay in your area, but you will also please the farmer that worked to grow that food. Your belly will remember the farmer's smile as they handed you that juicy peach.
|
FRESHER FRUITS & VEGGIESLocally grown fruits or veggies you buy from the farmers market are typically picked within a day of the market. This means the produce stays fresh longer! This is virtually impossible with in a big supermarket.
